new dvd

WJF 6 Registration is now open! Now even less expensive options plus Falco Sheffler and Pavel Evsukevich to teach workshops, compete and perform. July 21st - 25th, 2010 at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas

WJF 6

All the WJF 6 convention and competition information has been uploaded. Please check out all the pages as they all contain different yet equally important information.

This year there will be no membership fee! Also, we've decided to start WJF 6 on July 21st instead of July 20th and go through July 25th, thereby reducing the length of the convention by one day and saving our attendees one night's hotel stay. These are going to be five juggling packed days - you will not want to miss any of them! I've revamped all the competition shows to be more exciting and created a new format for the practice exhibitions that is fast paced and exciting as well. I've also created a special show for the final day of the convention that will be completely different from any competition or exhibition that will be held beforehand.

How to save even MORE money

Book your room at the Riviera Hotel through the WJF website from July 21st through July 25th, and you get the convention package for only $100.00. That's 5 nights at $49.00/night plus all access to WJF 6 for only $100.00. Offer expires April 15th, 2010. If you wish to stay longer, you may purchase additional room nights through the WJF website as well. To register for the convention and to book your hotel room, follow the instructions on this page:

WJF 6 Registration

The full schedule can be viewed here:

WJF 6 Schedule

As usual we are able to put together this convention at a very low cost to you with the condition from the Riviera that our attendees stay in the hotel. That's how the use of the space is provided. So if you like what we already have planned and want to help support us, please book your room through the WJF. We don't get any credit if you find a cheaper deal through internet specials or if you stay at a different hotel. And we are not making any money off of the hotel room sales. We're just trying to not be penalized. The key to us succeeding is simple - our attendees need to stay at the Riviera under our convention block. And at $49/night, it's already a very low rate that can help us out a bunch.

WJF 6 Special Guests

I'm proud to announce two amazing special guests that will be teaching workshops and performing at WJF 6.

WJF 6 Special Guests

Falco Scheffler will return to teach and debut a new style of juggling called "Falcontrol" in 4 days of workshops which will cover beginning and complex 3 ball mess and box variations. This workshop is included with the convention package price. No Additional fee!!! Here's a sample of what Falco performed at WJF 5:

Pavel Evsukevich will be making his WJF debut and teaching several workshops on ring juggling technique, blind kicks, and juggling while head bouncing a ball. Pavel will also compete in many of the competitions including the new "Long Program". If you're unfamiliar with Pavel's work, here's some videos that demonstrate some of the best ring juggling I've ever seen:

Junior Sponsorship Competition

JSC

If you will be 15 years old or younger on July 25th, 2010 you qualify to compete in the juniors sponsorship competition. Applicants must produce a two-minute juggling video. This video should demonstrate a WJF Juniors routine without any edits. The video must be submitted to the WJF no later than May 1st, 2010. Winners will be announced on May 15th, 2010. More information is available on the JSC page.

3rd Place: Free Expert Online Training Session

* Videos must be uploaded to youtube and links to videos must be emailed to wjf6@thewjf.com

This year I'm working harder than ever to make WJF 6 the best WJF event we've had. I've revised the event rules to be less ridiculous and I've included a new competition based on performance aspects of juggling in addition to the multitude of sport based competitions we always offer. I truly believe that WJF 6 will not only have the most impressive juggling to date, but is also the most open and welcoming to all jugglers. And I could use your help. If you've attended a WJF event before, I would really like it if you could write a brief synopsis of your experience to use on a testimonials page. Please also include your full name and which WJF events you've attended. If you're planning on attending WJF 6, it would be great if you could make a short video talking about why you're going and what you're looking forward to and then upload it to youtube and send me the link. These are two great ways that you can help the WJF that shouldn't take too much of your time. I need the help of all those who support the WJF to make it grow so I'm hoping there's enough of you out there who want that to happen.

I'm very excited about this event and I think it's going to be our best one yet. It's going to be an unbelievable amount of the highest level of juggling skill, a tremendous opportunity for unique workshops that will help you progress at your own juggling, PLUS an outlet for creative interpretations of juggling in our long program. And there's even more original events that we'll be holding that I'll be revealing in the next month. Some people think you have to be a good juggler to attend a WJF event and that it's only for competitors and that couldn't be farther from the truth. If you attend a WJF event you can do whatever you want. Practice, take workshops, watch the competitions and shows. Our events are not just for competitors. The event as a whole serves as a tremendous juggling entertainment experience for spectators while providing workshops to help everyone improve at whatever level they're ready for. You don't even need to know how to juggle to attend. We will teach you if you want, but there is plenty to watch without doing any juggling at all. After being around this much juggling though, it's hard to resist trying.
